A breath of perfectly cooked, mouth-watering steak in between a couple of travel blog entries, please.
Adorned with fancy meat cleavers and yellow light fittings, I have found my favourite steak-on-a-budget (not just) for millennials. I am in no where near a food expert nor a steak fanatic, but I can say that I have a properly working set of teeth paired with a tongue to say that Flat Iron steaks are PHENOMENAL.
Ever so popular, they usually have a waiting time of 20 minutes or up to an hour or so (at peak times). Staff wear your everyday chic, casual attire, and can pass as your friendly neighbour who treats you to quality steak. The environment is pretty friendly and chill, and we loved it.
They just have one meat to serve that is the Flat Iron Steak. Daily (I believe), they will have a special meal for the day like a Wagyu, a rib eye or a special burger to spice things up differently.
I recommend having your steaks medium rare paired with their peppercorn sauce. It is unbelievably tasty and the saltiness matches the meat and the sauce and the chips and the spinach and the drink and the lights and the adorable cleavers!
I will come back for you again and again!
Also, do not take the cleavers home with you. You can buy them, though.
13Sep 16 EDIT: OH apparently, on TRUE PEAK times, waiting times can stretch up to 2 – 2 1/2 hours! Exactly what we waited for when we went to Covent Garden on a Saturday night. We waited for so long! Thought that’s my 3rd set of Flat Iron steak, I am still happy to say that it was worth it. 🙂
